What we Do
Many people have asked the question, “Dr. Cibik, What do you actually do at this place called Inner Strength.“
Well, the answer is: I have many different hats that I wear throughout the day!
Inner Strength offers full education in Chinese medicine with subspecialties of Medical QiGong Instruction and Chinese Health Practitioner. This is not the reduced version of TCM, but the all-inclusive medical system ofChinese thought that included all four branches of Chinese Medicine including, but not limited to, original acupuncture (not always using needles), bodywork therapies, herbals including the use of food as medicine, and Medical QiGong. Medical QiGong is considered the highest level of medical treatment in Chinese medicine according to the Su Wen(an ancient Chinese medical text). All our educational programs can befound online at www.inner-strength.org.
Inner Strength also offers Taijichuan and QiGong for health instruction. We teach both the martial and healing methods of each. Predominantly, we teachYang style taijichuan, but make references to many other families andtheir similarities.
Inner Strength is Internationaly known for specialization in Medical QiGong and naturopathic treatments for cancer, fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, immune disorders, asthma, pain management and many other difficult cases including relief from depression and stress induced illnesses. Our full time clinic treats these and other difficult cases that western or allopathic medicine cannot solve readily. You can find us at www.inner-strength.com for more information.
Being declared a Zhong Yi from Jeffrey Yuen, my teacher, was one of the greatest honors of my life. As an 89th generation disciple of Daoism:Yu Ching Huang Lao Pai, Yellow emperor/Lao Tzu Sect Jade Purity tradition. Having this type of insight plus Naturopathy, allows me to assist people in their own ontology. Frequently I will work in conjunction with mental health professionals, when they reach a plateau of progress and my training allows me to break through these barriers assisting both parties involved. I also assist people in their spiritual journey, which many times comes into question when one is ill or challenged.
I hope this clarifies (to a certain extent) what we do here at Inner Strength. If you have any questions or comments please address them to me here at this blog.

I found this article tremendously insightful. I have had two births and two abortions: first pregnancy was interrupted forcefully two months early due to preeclempsia - an effort to save the mother over the baby, but the baby lives and is going to college and doing very well. The second pregnancy was aborted - I was a single mother and my first needed so much from me. The third I kept at the request of the father who left in the end, and also because I had made a promise to the previous aborted fetus that when the time was right I would try again. Single mother again, I aborted the next pregnancy. There is a part of me that believes I need to have one more child to finish what was interrupted in the second abortion, however, I am 44 years old now - risky. There were issues related to my joints and level of energy in my late 30's - overweight and smoking too much. So I took up kung fu, and most of those issues have gone away. Except that I injured my knee - indicating that there are yet residual issues - and I have become more susceptible to lung issues. I no longer smoke but I recently had my first incidence of walking pneumonia. Reading this article has given me some insight into foundational issues and will help me determine my next course of actions from here. Thanks very much for sharing! Sherry

I have a question to you. I am about 30, smoke and have no children yet.
Did smoking influence your pregnancy? I definitely will not smoke when i am pregnant but the fact that i did smoke... does it influence?
